SOLIDLIGHT FESTIVAL
Solid Light Festival was born in 2015 with the name of ROmap with a wish to create a public and open cultural event for everyone in the city of Rome. Our light art events brought thousands of people into the streets ((of the actual city?)) creating a unique match between past and future, while contributing to provide a positive and stimulating image of our city.
Since 2015 we have had over 400,000 attendees and produced more than 20 events including monumental video-mapping, performances and light installations. Pantheon, Circus Maximus, Piazza Navona, Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana are just some of the venues (or locations?) we transformed over the years.
In 2018 and 2019 we brought to Rome the best of contemporary international light artists invited to an inspiring experience offering research on heritage. Laszlo Bordos, Romain Tardy, Onionlab, Ouchhh, None Collective, Darklight Studio are some of the art digital stars we worked with.
